Within this page we as fischer we help you through the key points of the legislation, how this affects your business and how fischer can help you over come any critical changes to practices relating to fixing design, changes to drawing and of course installation of anchors.
When disasters take place it is far too common practice that safety and accountability were never at the forefront of decisions during the build process and disasters such as Grenfell tower could have been avoided.
The building safety act itself covers all building in the UK but has much stricter regulations for buildings deemed as high risk, such as buildings that are taller than 7 stories or 18 metres high. As you can imagine this would affect most inner city commercial and residential developments in recent years but also covers infrastructure buildings such as hospitals or care facilities.
Focusing on “High risk” buildings, two large scales changes were incorporated into the Building Safety act 2022. These being the “Golden Thread” and "Project Gateways".
