REGIONAL  SALES  ENGINEER
Report to: National Sales Manager
Based: Home Counties/London
Package: Competitive Salary plus Car, Mobile, Laptop

Job Objectives:

  • To target and develop technical fixing solutions for the Construction industry  including  Tunnels / Rail / Water / Power  Stations & Civil Projects and ensure fischer fixings is well recognised.
  • Develop, build and maintain strong professional relationships with the engineers, specifiers and major end users.
  • Promote fischer fixings by offering and conducting  CPD seminars to engineers, specifiers and major end user .

Duties:

  • Communicate with Project Engineers, Contractors & chosen supply chain, by phone and visiting sites/ premises.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with the key customer groups offering an effective “point of contact” position for all technical issues
  • Be commercially aware, able to develop and secure new business
  • Submit Project tenders & detailed pricing ensuring correct specification is met.
  • Maintain client database, including records of all correspondence & specifications submitted
  • Provide professional advice on fixing application at site including Tool Box talks,    practical demonstrations and anchor testing.
  • Provide  technical support to fischer Sales team and their customers

Skills:

  • Commercial awareness, ability to develop and secure new and existing fixing business.
  • Educated in a construction or mechanical engineering related discipline, ideally to at Degree or HND/HNC level.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, persistent and thorough, well organised with an excellent customer focus
  • Fully IT conversant with excellent written and verbal skills across all levels, confident providing solutions on one to one basis and also via formal presentations including fischer Compufix software, for which training will be given.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years in construction environment, primarily in design capacity with site experience.
  • Conversant with construction site procedures including CSCS card holder
  • Fixing application knowledge at site level would be an advantage
