This year fischer is announcing a major product launch with safety at its heart. Firestop from fischer is a complete range of fire prevention products for use in construction projects. The range includes mastics, foams, sealants, putties and pipe sleeves, all offering fire protection capabilities and designed for use in building and refurbishment projects. The product range meets all the relevant British Standards for fire resistance and comes with the usual fischer guarantee of quality. The entire range, including different sizes and variants, comprises over 60 products and will make a major contribution to fire safety in construction.
Fire protection is also built-in to fischer's standard fixings range. Fire protection is of critical importance in fixings technology, for example to secure the functionality and structural stability of railings, utility systems and ceiling elements. Many fischer fixings, in particular its electrical fixings, carry a fire rating. Fire inhibiting fixings carry a rating of F30 or F60, meaning they resist fire for 30 or 60 minutes, while fire resistant fixings carry a rating of F90, F120 or F180.
